*Due to subfreezing temperatures and unusually high demand for electricity, TVA and MLGW have issued an energy conservation alert effective at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16. Do you have a furnace with a blower? If so, it uses electricity for the blower motor. :)

Everything plugged to an outlet draws energy whether it's turned on or not. So maybe unplug all those appliances that you use once a day or once a week.
