Good news for him for sure - and for us fans. Hope he's getting the proper counseling and mentoring. He needs a very short leash for a while.

Life is all about 2nd and sometimes more chances. Hope he capitalizes on the opportunity.

Big news! Rollins gets his second chance. and let's face it, stealing inexpensive things that make you smell great is about as victimless as crime gets. Bucks are a strong organization and by signing Ryan now to a 2 way contract they can keep him there on a budget for this season and next. financially, a savvy move by the Bucks and gives Ryan the opportunity to learn from 2 of the hardest workers in the game in Giannis and Lillard. don't expect to see him much if any on the floor for the bucks this season. but if he does well in the g league, they'll keep him there over the off-season and he can really work on his game and get some active roster time in 2024-5.

It basically means that the player splits time between the NBA club and their G-League affiliate. Not a full time NBA deal, but they can play a limited number of games for the NBA club (I think it's 50) in a season. Clubs can only carry like 2 or 3 players on 2-way deals, others have to be on full-time NBA deals.

NHL has a similar setup where players can split time between the NHL club and their AHL affiliate.

the rules change every year or so but right now teams can keep up to 3 players on 2 way contracts which pay 1/2 the rookie minimum (a full year on a 2 way is about 500k). all your 2 way players can play a combined 90 games with no single player over 50. Rollins was on a normal rookie 3 yr deal (2 guaranteed) with the Wizards/Warriors. not sure if he got paid out the rest of this yr when he was waived. spent most games with the NBA team so far but usually inactive or DNP.
