Ok, I’ll bite, I’ve complained about Offense a lot for a long time.. I know that our Defense sucks and that’s the main problem.. Defense wins games I know that.. I just get sick of ISO ball, AAU, Streetball, whatever you wanna call it.. Yea we usually score plenty to win no doubt.. Most teams we play the Coaches are to stubborn to realize you play zone against us and if you have mediocre talent you will beat us..Most teams we play don’t run much Offenses either they play just like us.. We wouldn’t score 40 Pts against Houston and they play man to man but they are very good and don’t need to play Zone.. I’m just looking at the bigger picture, we played decent D last year then we play a good half court team and we lose.. I’m not talking making 10 passes a possession, good sets are usually 3 to 4 at most.. Go watch New Mexico play they are fun to watch, they can run with anybody but also have a great half court Offense, Screens up top, Screens on the baseline, hard screen back door cuts.. They are impressive.. They play very good Defense also.. They could make a deep run.. Pitino’s son has them rolling.. They are better than a lot of teams ranked in front of them..
But you guys are right our D needs fixed before our O does..
But anyone who thinks we run set plays besides the weave out front or ISO I’ve got ocean front property in Arizona I’ll sell ya.. Like I’ve said I like to get on this board just to read and stir things up a bit but I assure you if we win we win if we lose we lose, it really doesn’t bother me like it use to, I’m just here for the entertainment..

Apparently you don’t watch much hoops. That’s all it is now. High ball screen, drive and look for the open 3. We don’t do anything different that most teams. We just go through stretches where we dribble in place for half the shot clock. But we score 85 per game so apparently we are doing something right or else everyone now sucks on defense

I watch tons of games and your right most all teams don’t run any thing at all, most all teams just let their guards create which to me sucks especially if you don’t have great guards..We don’t have a D. Rose on this team..We score 85 per game because most teams we play aren’t very good and play mostly like us..If we play Helter Skelter BB and the other team does also we will win most of the time on talent alone..But play against a good Half Court team we will struggle..Houston would beat us by 30 plus with ease, we would be lucky to get a shot off, you have to run some form of Offense against them or you ain’t winning.. The team I enjoy watching the most is New Mexico, they can run and they have a lot of sets Offensively, 3 to 4 passes at most..They play Defense also.. House their Freshman PG plays in your face D the whole game.. Reminds me of AA not as big but a lot quicker..They play tonight if you get a chance watch them play, it’s late but they play Boise St. I believe..
