63-63 @ 0:45...but another foul by Rice. We're up to 21 on the game. Good grief. Fortunately, SMU shooting only 14-21 from the line.

Man that was a quick tie call giving the ball to SMU. And then Fisher gets called for a foul on a similar play on the other end. 63 all.

After both teams miss, it's still 63-63 with 25 seconds left. Rice TO and the ball. Play for last shot? Why not drive to the basket and see if we can draw a foul? Let's not settle for an outside shot.

Travel call after the defensive rebound gives the Owls the ball with 25.7 to play.

65-63 Rice wins on a DJ jumper at the buzzer.
IMO, we got very lucky in this one. And, again, I seriously question Edmonds use of the bench in this one. Adams played the entire 2H and contributed virtually nothing (1-6 FG, 0 assists, 5 boards, 4 fouls, 5 TOs). Ennis, who hit her first 2 shots of the game, was ice cold ever since (2-9, 2 boards, 0 assists), yet stayed in the game almost throughout. Klaczek, Maya and Gooden never saw the court the entire 2H.
Jackson: 17 points (7-13 FG), 6 boards, 7 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 1 TO
Fisher: 15 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal

Great win. Adams plays for her defense and rebounding. Wish she could have shooting ability. Is Shelby Hayes injured? She was much needed.

RE: WBB @ SMU
Texasowl is right, Adams brings a bunch of intangibles that don't show up in the box score. Yes, she's a liability on offense. But she's smart and there are also times where her movement creates looks for other players. And also, the more reps she gets the better because she gets in really good spots offensively. But agree with others that Edmonds had a weird coaching day. Definitely do not understand the lack of substitutions but a game or two like that is okay. Just can't be a consistent thing or we'll be exhausted by conference tournament time. Also, Edmonds' decision not to go for a 2-for-1 with 46 seconds left in a tied game was perplexing to be kind. We got away with it because SMU travelled on the rebound. But shouldn't have come to that. Good win overall.

Did Hayes get hurt at SMU? Only watched the end of the game.
