Our game was in Hawaii at 10:30p ET. I thought only Coastal and SJSU fans would be watching.

The best rated FCS games usually are the Celebration Bowl and the championship game. The championship game has never really garnered what the FCS accolades want... In contrast the Celebration Bowl usually brings in good crowds and viewers.

The HBCU has been the most viewed part of FCS for the last decade... And it still doesn't bring in the viewers the most medium level bowls bring in.

But at least they still have an actual, bona-fide, playoff system and I enjoyed it while we were there.

I think the WKU vs ODU game ended up topping out at 900k+ on ESPN2. Not too bad given the timeslot and channel change.

RE: Bowl Ratings - How we did
Texas State vs Rice ratings were fairly jarring considering how Rice has basically no fans. Potentially it benefitted from being the only sporting event on during a day that most people were off work....still though, impressive.

And going back to previous thread...

Three ABC Saturday slots are great. I mean, great ooc performance all year, twelve teams bowling is great, and National Sun Belt Saturday on the 23rd also. Three games on OTA might be my favorite on that list of great.

The four AAC midweek games vs autonomy conference teams will probably average about 2.3 million viewers.

The first Saturday ABC slot typically gets around 2.4 million viewers. There aren't comps for second-bowl-Saturday ABC slots, but I think the JMU-AF game will do 3 million and Troy-Duke, somewhere in between, say 2.6 million.

Three Saturday ABC bowls for Sun Belt:
2,666,000 - 2,443,000 - 1,950,000 Total 7,059,000 - Avg 2,353,000
Four midweek ESPN autonomy opponent bowls for AAC:
3,595,000 - 2,259,000 - 1,456,000 - 1,050,000 Total 8,360,000 - Avg 2,090,000

Thread already had Sun Belt Total 18,236,000 - Average 1,519,667
AAC Total 12,144,000 - Average 2,024,000

You serious?
.
There was an earlier discussion and I came back to make sure I was accountable for that.

I specifically left it at just the facts and avoided any comment/analysis because of how sensitive little kiddies here will say any compliments are "back-handed"

I feel lke I was fulsome in praise in the earlier post, which I copied in full.
