Should be a nice test tonight. Evansville is 159 kenpom, so hopefully the game won't be in doubt too late. But they are an elite defensive rebounding team. We've been elite on the glass on both ends, but it will be interesting to see if that can remain the case against a team that rebounds as well as Evansville.

They also play pretty fast, so I don't expect them to try to grind it out like some of the other teams we've played has. They don't take (or make) that many 3s, but really concentrate on getting the ball to the rim. Their guards/wings do a great job penetrating and drawing fouls. As a team Evansville is shooting 54.2% from 2 which tells me they get a lot at the rim. And though they don't shoot a lot of free throws as a team, their guards/wings get to the line at a high rate (whch also explains why they are such a good FT shooting team). As much as we have struggled defending ball screens / drives off ball screens, they should test our defense in that area. Hope to see some signs of improvement tonight.

I have been impressed with Reynolds progression since becoming eligible and I'm guessing he'll play a key role tonight.

Any word on Aziz returning for this game?

I listened to the CWM show last night and sounds like he hasnt practiced and is still sore. He’s out and i think CJ is out as well. Simas should be back.

I wonder how serious that back injury is. Hopes bodeonga makes it bac soon. We will need him.

Cincinnati won the last time these two teams met. Can they maintain that dominance? We will find out tonight.

The Bearcats haven't played in a week, and so you never know what will happen. How long will it take for them to start playing well? Will they be more physical and will they play smart?

Can Evansville get some confidence? They have to play well.

Evansville top two leading scorers are both out with injury.

Simas back and struggling on defense as usual.

Ody might be getting cut from the rotation, Reed in before him tonight.

Why does it everyone keep talking about how Day Day and Jizzle being on the court at the same time is some game changing thing for this team?

Reed played some nice, tough defense. Shut down the guy who was abusing Simas. I'm still not convinced Simas is good enough at defense to play.

We are feeling the lack of Fredrick, without him we lack three point shooting and Evansville can clog the paint. We need to do better getting it inside to Vik and Reynolds.

This team has a long way to go. I have a difficult time seeing Wes Miller being the long term solution as head coach unless he gets another older former coach on staff that has high major coaching experience. Penny brought in a bunch of guys to help him out and feel like Wes needs to go the same route.

Get Simas out of the game, he is horrible on defense tonight. About half their points have been by his man.

Evansville is getting anything they want on offense.

I know it’s not popular to say this but UC is going to be moving on from Wes a whole lot sooner than expected if this continues. I am even sure his coaching is at the Josh Pastner level yet but it’s probably a better comparison than Penny.
