Did any C-USA coaches get hired away? A few of the better Sun Belt teams have interim coaches, many impact players in the portal, etc.

None of this changes the fact that the Sun Belt is the best G5 conference this year and it hasn't been debatable. The same computer models used before show this. Bowl season isn't what it used to be with recruiting, the portal, signing Day etc. all taking place in the middle of it.

Enjoy your holidays. Just know that regardless of postseason play, nearly every computer model has the Sun Belt as the top G5 conference. Win% against peer and the P5 is higher than anyone else, 12 bowl teams, etc.

While yes 1-6 is brutal, having 12 bowl teams is still impressive.if the next five win you break even.

This is silly…all the computer models and metrics have the SBC as the top G5. Bowl season really doesn’t matter.

Yes, it’s fun to win during the holidays…but pump the brakes.

The sheer delusion of Sunbelt Maxi's thinking this conference is anything but a mid to bottom tier conference. JMU, the crown of the conference, who wanted to take the NCAA to court is losing against Air-freaking-force. Laughable.

The AAC had some really ****ty bowl seasons, but it was still the top G5 league.

The transfer portal and early signing day have made these just exhibition games.

We have the best G5 non-conference record and the most P5 wins over the last two seasons.

Ok…step off the ledge. JMU’s staff is on life support. Top to bottom the SBC is the strongest G5.

Probably the program with the least momentum headed into bowl season is crushing a top half MWC team. Keep it up panthers!

I'm not going to pretend the bowls don't matter. But, even with these bowl losses counted in the Sun Belt is still ranked higher than every other G5 conference. So all the Sun Belt sucks people should chew on that. I'm not sure where it will be after all the bowl games are done, but I don't see us moving lower than second even losing all of them.

You're being dishonest. Look at our OOC record. Look at the composite rankings all year. You're hanging all your eggs in one bowl basket trying to negate a whole season of achievement. It's not like it was false when people were saying it. It's not like these bowls mean more than the seasons they come from. We earned the right to rub into the faces of those calling us the lowly Sun Belt the best G5 season put together by any conference, by a large margin. And as I said before, getting12 teams into bowls has never been done by any conference. The closest is 9 and we were there, too. We played only one conference champ this bowl season and we won that game. None of the rest matter. Fire away.

I had to pause and think for a sec...I'd say that from my perspective, that puts it more in the realm of "clever and cerebral" than "too far."

Utah State this year beat UConn, Idaho State, Colorado State, San Diego State, Nevada, and New Mexico in double overtime. Not one win against a team with a winning record. They were ranked 88 in Massey Composite. Were not a top half MWC team.

Yet your school is in the conference to it’s detriment…buddy your school went 3-9 let me say it again; three and nine quite frankly, it boggles my mind that the Sun Belt conference decided to actually add you instead of letting you waste away in conference, USA, where we could’ve gotten of much better school in western Kentucky into the league.Yeah, we might be doing pretty awful in a essentially a scrimmage series against other conferences with a lot of the teams particularly the better ones in the much better Eastern division, losing tons of players and coaches to the transfer portal and being hoed on some really stupid call. But let’s not forget the regular (real) season, the one that you went 3-9. Your school wasted a talent like frank gore Jr. Say what you want about CCU, at least we don’t **** the bed after joining the new conference.

The bowls will remain a crap shoot as long as the portal stays the way it is. Would like to see it not open until after they are over. Maybe go back to a single NSD in mid February.

The XII went 2-7 in bowls last year and is the only conference of the middle 3 not in imminent danger of imploding.

So your argument against the Sun Belt being a low-tier conference is that you didn't suck quite as bad as we did. We all suck, pal, hate to break it to you. The sooner we understand that, the sooner we can actually make something of this conference.
