Marquette survives 84-79 but hats off to St. Thomas, they really wanted it, just ran out of time. They gave Marquette a better game than Kansas but that was at a neutral site, this was on the road for the losing team.

New Mexico (10-1) nearly lost to in-state rival NMSU (5-7) 73-72.

For what it's worth, James Madison was down to Hampton but it was very early. JMU in the lead.
