It’s mainly interesting because Teterboro to SHD is a rarely traveled route, as in ever, with the exception of Jeff and Co. last week.

The plane arriving is a bombardier Challenger 300. Thats a significantly larger class of aircraft than a Citation and more expensive to operate.

Suppose its possible that was the only plane available, or it was available on a one way trip. Wouldn't seem like the first choice of aircraft for this mission, unless it was conveniently located and delivering a couple guys.

The flight that is landing now is a Citation II, but the flight last night was a Bombadier.

Thanks, was glancing at it a bit quickly.

The Challenger came in from Chicago to SHD, up to Bedford and back to SHD, then back to Chicago. It seems to be possibly based out of Chicago (PWK) looking at other flights its made.

Suppose for a larger set of passengers and baggage it might make sense.

one man's opinion here, but I doubt that any assistant coaches will be flying privately.

It could make sense if theres multiple coaches and their families involved. We're up against tight deadlines on the portal and bowl game.

HC fans think at least the S&C guy is coming

Starting to feel its likely we'll hear about some of Chesney's staff at the presser. If not then, I'd think we will know by end of the week, I'm sure its a top priority.

It's tricky who to bring along and who to cut bait with. Always wondered why Mickey Matthews, who was Donnan's D-Coordinator at Marshall, was not allowed to fill that position when Donnan moved to Georgia as head coach. IIRC, Mickey was a DB coach there.

RE: Football Assistant Coaches
Its sounding like we will get a mix of assistants. Possibly retain some JMU guys, perhaps a few HC guys, and maybe some other FBS guys.

Interview today made it sound like some of this still in progress. Interested to see if any get announced at the presser tomorrow.

Chesney said today was basically his second day on the job. Probably had to scramble on the weekend for relocation type things.

I’m interested in the “a few travel delays” has to do with coaching info coming out at the press conference.

I did notice a Worcester plane got in only at noon about a half an hour late—family? Coaching staff?

Don't agree with the hesitancy to bring Holy Cross assistants along. Chesney didn't accomplish what he did in a vacuum.
They know the attention to detail that Chesney demands/commands and helped build the winner that Holy Cross became.
I believe they wouldn't miss a beat here. In Chesney I trust. We must keep Wrobo, however.

As he commented in the part of the press conference I heard - he would also have a mixture of FBS coaches as well. I think that is a good idea.

But as always let successful coaches do what they have done to be successful.

Full reigns to Ches...

he led by mentioning (which he has said before) that he has not succeeded by his skills alone. He then expanded his response on assistants and the 3 attributes he was looking for: Connection, competency, & chemistry

it seems for every aspect / element of coaching...he is prepared and has a plan. Bourne mentioned Chesney's preparation for the interview and Bourne stating 10 minutes in that he knew they had the right guy. I'm pumped !

Assume stop in Teterboro was to interview Harasymiak.

I don't believe Hetherman will be a part of Chesney's staff but could be wrong.

I was thinking that too. But the fact that someone posted a picture showing that BC recently stated following Hetherman on X when all the plane drama was going on does seem odd. Was that a legit pic or was it just altered?

I didn't read into it a hesitancy. Some of his HC staff may want to stay there, some might already be getting plays for other jobs - most will follow him here.

Similar to our staff here, we expected and hoped some would stay behind. Same will be true for his staff there. Also, there is and will be the chance to 'recruit' over a coach - with a more established FBS assistant.

Also, likely shear numbers impact this too. We likely have more assistants than a FCS school.

True. Maybe they have agreed in principle but are waiting for the final numbers to add up. I would imagine he is a reach from a salary standpoint

Per Holy Cross's board... we appear to be getting the following coaches so far:

Offensive Coordinator: Dean Kennedy
Special Teams Coordinator: Drew Canon
Safeties Coach / Recruiting Coordinator: Anthony DiMichele
Director of Football Strength & Conditioning / Pro Liaison: Chris Grautski
