I was just checking some Wiki to try see how big of an adjustment the move will be for Chesney and fam. Worcester is the second largest city in Mass at around 200,000 but Worcester County is closer to 900,000. The City of Worcester has 8 colleges and universities. Holy Cross has about 3,200 students.
So they’re going from a small private school in a large metro area to a much larger public university in a much smaller college town. Should be interesting for them. I hope they quickly feel at home.

It depends on where he and his family actually live. I would be surprised if he actually lives in Worcester (the city). It is much more likely that he lives in one of the towns surrounding Worcester. I used to teach in one of the neighboring districts, and the environment was very similar to the Massanutten area. (Mountains, houses with decent land area, population density, etc.) That area of Mass is very hit-and-miss in terms of population density. You have Worcester, Fitchburg, and the towns in between 290 and the Pike - that area is built up with more pavement than trees. But then most of the other towns (which cover most of the area) are the exact opposite.
In my opinion, NOVA would be a lot tougher to adjust to.
The biggest adjustment will be the much number of Dunks per square mile. Apparently, there are only 4 in all of Harrisonburg - a city of 80K. My town has twice as many of those with less than 1/3 of the population! Fortunately, I hear they did add one to campus a few years ago...

Commonalities: Both stadiums are located next to an interstate and look like a high school football stadium (at least only from one side for us).
Differences: Worcester is one of the most beaten down cities I’ve ever seen. The Shenandoah Valley is one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen.
If memory serves, About 30 seconds west past the HC stadium on the interstate is the Polar factory (sparkling water company) and they have a pretty dope, giant inflatable polar bear on the roof of their HQ. Point, Holy Cross here.
We need to get our hands on that bear
Edit: For any haters/non-believers. Who is with me? Let’s bring this bad boy to Harrisonburg and set it atop of Eagle Hall as a warning to any invasive species exiting I-81: https://www.telegram.com/story/news/loca...000185007/

That would be considered an act of war in New England!

"Our plane" is making another quick bounce up to ORH and back tonight. Could be coach just picking up clothing/bags, or wife and kids, etc.
Flight was scheduled before he arrived today, so not a last minute thing.
