2023 - Has been an incredible football year.

Of course the talent, effort, and resilience of the players is a significant reason for the results.

I had a blast rooting all year for the players to do their best. The regular season outcome, is a clear indication that you really did.

Believe in yourself, trust your team mates, and stay positive. This JMU football team is in an extremely unique situation. Best FBS transition ever, a well-deserved bowl game, and disappointment with how the transition rules impacted the team.

To add to this unique situation, most of your coaches have departed and ahead for you is more change and uncertainty.

I am still rooting for you to do your best, on the field, in the classroom, raising a family, and whatever career pursuits you choose. JMU was a special place before you stepped on campus, and you each have made it even more special.

Eventually this will be our lead logo for sports...damn near everyone knows who JMU is now - that logo is awesome (second only to that scruffy wolfpack logo)

Duke dog head is the best, I hope we get back to using it more often in official stuff. It’s surprisingly hard to find good hoodies with it prominently displayed.

Thank you to all the players for their dedication and hard work to get us to 11-1. It is kinda symbiotic relationship with JMU. You provide JMU success and make us proud and keep the JMU spirit alive and on the other hand JMU provides you the opportunity to become leaders and be part of an amazing school. If any players in the portal are reading this you have the unique opportunity to add to your resume taking JMU to their first Bowl game and Winning it!! Go Dukes!!
