Maybe we'll see a shift here...all I know is 40 minutes of that Bradley second half and we'd be very very good.
I did not. I turned that sh!t show off when it was clear we were going to lose yet another big lead and another very winnable game.
I hope that statement is indicative that big changes are coming. I remain pessimistic that will happen. AK seems hell bent on jamming the round peg into the square hole this season.
If Mike Anderson were coaching this team we very well might be undefeated. I don't get it. We are not playing to our strengths in any discernible way. This season is reminding me of Mike Davis's first season where we still had a largely Mike Anderson-like team, but were playing 4 corners drain the clock basketball. It was obvious that year that the personnel did not fit the coaching scheme. That's similar to what I'm seeing this year. We clearly look very good playing a certain way, and we clearly do not look very good playing another way. One way has led to us dominating the competition for stretches of games, and the other way has seen us give up big leads, or fall behind big early, time and time again.
Kind of like Dilfer's game plan against Navy, the strategy with this team has been somewhat mind boggling. It's hard for me to see the bigger picture and reasoning for why we are doing what we are doing. But hey, what do I know? Maybe I'm wrong - perhaps playing a slow, inefficient, individualistic, 3-point driven, halfcourt game with 6-9 long, athletic, fast, raw, mostly poor shooting, and mostly interchangeable players is the way to go.
