2023 - has been a banner year for the Dukes.

Time to look at yourself in the mirror and decide if you want JMU as a University to shine or some part you can pump your chest out on and trash talk other schools.

The University, President, AD, Coaches, Players, or fans have not been perfect.

I am pleased to support the University as we grow. Most of you would admit that you got more than you expected over the past 2 years - but yet we too often trash those that played a positive role in getting there.

If you think JMU is special, make it special - celebrate our accomplishments and support ho we can better these.

A simple way - contribute to this thread and bump it. Stop talking about petty gripes.

This year…really the last two in this transition to FBS and SBC full membership…have been extraordinarily successful. If the MBB team makes the NCAAT I’d argue these two years have been the most outstanding in JMU sports history.

I’m looking forward to many more years of exciting and successful competition in the SBC.

Most definitively not Alger.

But also aware and in tune enough - to see the place I first walked onto in 1981 is way better in terms of academics and national prominence.

We have had a year 99% of schools would dream of athletically, and the best we can do is complain.

We wanted FBS - we got it and guess what, it is a dog fight getting your due as an upstart. Stop trying to gun down the Generals - and start focusing on the power brokers that do not want a school like JMU to succeed.

I play my opinions on JMU policies - in much more effective platforms than here.

A bowl game announcement, a home basketball game for the undefeated and ranked Dukes, maybe even a new FB head coach.

A 71 point blowout over Keystone. (Home of Christy Mathewson, who is the 5th player inducted in the MLB Hall of Fame).

First bowl game ever for JMU - Armed Forces on ABC 12/23. Congrats for Wrobo to lead the team as interim HC.

I saw the Christy Mathewson history also when I looked up Keystone, I grew up 2 hours from there and have never heard of Factoryville.

All things considered landing the Armed Forces bowl is a good break we needed from all the BS going on at the moment. BB 8-0 and getting better. Go Dukes!!
