...if Bama beats UGA - a distinct possibility - Bama will get in, but not as a 1 seed - AND, if Michigan is 'lackluster' against Iowa (also a distinct possibility), the Udub win over the Quack would look better... not sure if that affects their location - would think they would want Udub in the Rose Bowl no matter their seed, but... just wondering...

There's a decent chance that UW gets the #1 seed with just a Georgia loss. Oregon looked like the best team in the country for large swathes of the season, and UW beat them TWICE. They won the regular season and CCG of the 2nd strongest conference. At worst, they should be #2 and seeded ahead of Michigan.

If Georgia ends up #1 and Wash and Mich are both undefeated, it does not matter much who is #2 and who is #3. Wash and Mich will play each other in the Rose Bowl and the actual playoff game will decide who is #2

I will say this, I was watching the PAC-12 CCG, and I was thinking to myself, neither of these defenses look that great to me. I remember when Penix played in the Big Ten and he had some rocky days against Big Ten defenses. One of his worst days was when threw 2 pick-six against Iowa and his team lost 34-6.

Michigan, I believe has a better combo of both a great offense and defense, so that's why I think Michigan is better than Wash.
