RE: 2024 Baseball Season
Third pitch of the game went over the fence and after that Potts and Lovatz got the last 27 outs without giving up a run. I think one Hawk got to third base the rest of the game. Errors by Wilmington helped the home team.
Let's get the series tomorrow.

RE: 2024 Baseball Season
Potts and Lovasz were locked in today. UNCW battled Potts on numerous occasions where he came out on the right side of the AB. Seemed like either McRae saw something or we're just trying to disrupt their focus by running a lot. I also thought Potts was going to come out an inning before he did. McRae definitely was managing to the situation. UNCW kicked it around a lot, but we took advantage also.

The first pitcher had a big leg kick out of the stretch. We were running as soon as his foot left the ground.

RE: 2024 Baseball Season
Tribe is 9-9 and sits alone in the sixth (and last) slot for the CAA Tournament. However, both Stony Brook (10-8) and Delaware (11-7) are in range -- and the Tribe currently holds the tiebreaker over both of them. Right behind the Tribe are Campbell and Hofstra (both 8-10). W&M has yet to play Campbell and we don't play Hofstra this year.
The remaining schedule favors the Tribe in that we still have Elon (10th place, 6-12) and Towson (last place, 3-15), plus Campbell.
Stony Brook plays Hofstra, Delaware, and Northeastern.
Delaware plays Monmouth, Stony Brook, and UNCW.
Hofstra plays Stony Brook, UNCW, and Monmouth.
Campbell plays UNCW, Monmouth, and W&M.
With SB and Delaware both playing a top team plus each other, if W&M takes care of business against the bottom feeders then we should pass at least one of them, maybe both, in the final standings. Not that it matters too much for positions 3-6 because those teams face each other in the first games anyway......just as long as we get in.
Let's go Tribe! No late season fade.......

By the way, does anyone know what is up with Josiah Seguin? The freshman shortstop hasn't played in a while but had been playing very well prior to that. We could sure use him back by tournament time.
