I've always hated "we shoulda won that game" whining, but Tarleton has only lost 2 games, and both were DIRECTLY attributed to a single botched play. Anybody who has watched Tarleton play this year must admit we were the better team in every FCS game we played. Home or on the road, injured or healthy, it didn't matter. Truth be told, the only team to REALLY beat Tarleton this year was TARLETON! That's just facts. So yes, I say it's absolutely worth the try, and I guarantee you nobody wants to meet this team in the playoffs now that we're healthy. If we do get in, not only do we win our first game, but I think we make a nice little run!

Cooper left on the second drive. He makes the offense and Gabalis infinitely better. There is no playoff run without him. But there’s no waiver either. But next year should be fun!

Sam Herder posted he didn’t think we get in if the waiver is granted.

The NCAA has been pretty consistent about that kinda thing. Liberry's lawsuit threat has been the only case I've seen to break that trend. And that was just to GET to FBS.

If we went undefeated in Conference play I could see us pushing for the waiver, but losing 2 conference games and still trying is pointless. We will have our shot next year if we win enough games.

Per Pete Thamel, the request has been denied by the NCAA.

You would have been a fairly serious entry if you had gotten in. Next year, Next year. And maybe in time two get in.

Shocker. One of Hurley's most admirable traits is he fully understands there is no such thing as bad press. Our season is over and the pundits are still talking about Tarleton. I love it.

RCI I think we have a ways to go, but I am just glad the transition phase is over football wise anyway. Last year for everything else. Next year we will be able to qualify for playoff/post season in every sport. Whether we get there or not is another question. Hoping we can make the playoffs in football and maybe shoot for the NIT in basketball, but both are lofty goals from where we are at at the moment. I will try and get back to you on the other stuff later tonight. take care my friend!

Well, the N Alabama game sure got ugly after leading 13-0.

I was surprised with the SUU vs UT game. It was back and forth all game long.
