Several Sun Belt schools wish they could just be ranked in anything. Bowling, Fishing, Croquet. Anything…

Congrats JMU…heck of a run to be ranked in FB or BB let alone BOTH in the same year.

As for Bowling…Astate was the National Runner-UP…just saying. 07-coffee3

Most of us are good at at least something. Though being bad at absolutely everything might just be a talent of its own.

You’ve actually got a helluva pt. there.

I was def hoops first until a VCPoo friend tuned me into the Zone in ‘03, I guess it was. Got back into the American tackle football just in time for the magical ride in ‘04. Met many a fellow traveler in the years hence.

That’s kept me aboard during the debacle decade of Keener, Rowe, how low can you go etc.

Now what? Is it football all in? Or is it hoops Dukes? Tough to decide where the energy and Boogity-Boogity should be going.

Only so much Boogity to go around…

Multiple times.

The most recent one though was 2008 WKU. Finished ranked #22.

It looks like WKU was ranked several times over the years.

JMU isn't breaking any ground being ranked in basketball. It's cute that you think that though.

hburg is our kindest poster with a pure soul. You take that jealousy and hatred and direct it at ME next time.

And I’ll take half that as well.

Band of Brothers

Haters gon hate

It's kind of hard to talk multiple bids when the Sun Belt rep is included in the bottom 6 conferences in the nation reps. The top 10 conferences in the nation are the ones getting multiple bids. So it's kind of hard when our rep is somewhere at #26-32.

Well Louisiana was a 13 last year and gave 4 seed Tennessee everything they could handle. Need to keep climbing of course, but that's a lot more respectable than a 16 and it's nice that they went out and showed they probably deserved better.

Looks like your highest ranking ever has been 11: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/sch...polls.html

Still impressive and hoping JMU can one day get to a Top 10 ranking (not going to happen this year since our schedule isn't hard enough)

That's the AP poll. South Alabama did climb to #10 in week 8 of the UPI Coaches' poll the same 1981 season.

Good to see us overcome a poor shooting night and our affinity for easy baskets (not a hallmark of our team for theast decade...)

Our guy Freidel - time to admit that he needs to re-learn how to shoot....the guy brings so many good intangibles, but he's been in brick city a lot this year
