Need a palate cleanser after Friday night.

TCU is 2-0. A 20-point win over Oral Roberts and then a 40-point win over non-D1 A&M-Kingsville. They were picked to finish 9th in the preseason poll. Led by Madison Conner, who's averaging 26.0 ppg, and Sedona Prince, who's averaging a double-double.

Here's how I see this game playing out. Prince is a nightmare matchup for us (and basically every team). She's 6-foot-7 and physical. Hayes doesn't have the size to defend her, which makes me think we'll see a bit more of Samb and Ngulefac today. My guess is that we'll also throw doubles at Prince. We basically have to or she'll score 20+ with ease. But we can't leave Conner, who's shooting it at a 44% clip from deep at volume. So we're going to have to gamble on TCU's other players not beating us. The rest of the team is shooting 35% from 3, which is not terrible. But it's two games so a small sample size. Long story short, how we fare in this game, at least defensively, depends entirely on how we defend Prince in the post and how solid our rotations are.

I lived in Fort Worth for three years, and although I never saw a concert on campus (like I did at ACU), I saw several in downtown and the stockyards.

Just might have to sprinkle in a few references to those bands in this thread.

Very early cheap foul on Hayes jockeying for position with Prince. Prince then draws a foul (I think on Gooden) who was late helping. Gonna be a war in the paint.

Utterly confounding offensive start. I certainly looks like the staff told the team to feed Hayes and have her try to work Prince. Let's just say it's not working.

I think Ennis needs to start. Don't see enough offensive punch with our current starting 5.

TCU's starting lineup are all transfers (Oregon, Stanford, Arizona, Baylor, Cal State Fullerton).

TCU up 7-4 at the U5. Stifling us with their defense. Sets aren't generating any looks and TCU's iso defense has been better than our iso offense.

That from Owens-Barnett is the effort we need inside. Might've been a foul but it's gotta be a team effort rebounding and defending against Prince.

Beautiful defense from Ennis to end the quarter. 10-9 TCU. Very, very good defensive effort. Wouldn't call it a sloppy game. More so that both teams are defending better than they are running their offenses.

Nice feed from Adams to Samb for an and-1. TCU up 13-12. Very positive start to the game for Samb on both ends.

Adams follows up the dish with two great individual defensive plays, including an emphatic block. Make that three in a row.
