Other teams are starting to share their schedules and we're currently playing the fall world series this week, so it's probably time to kick off this thread.

Based on the schedules released so far, we have the following:

Charlotte TBD
@Louisiana Mar. 22-24
South Alabama Mar. 28-30
@Coastal Carolina Apr. 5-7
VCU Apr. 23
@Texas State May 3-5
@VCU May 7

We don't play Southern Miss this year. And like Old Dominion, the following members haven't released their schedules yet; Arkansas State, Georgia St., Georgia So., JMU, Marshall, App, ULM and Troy.

If I had to bet, Troy would round out our schedule against the SBC West since we didn't play them last year and the following schools are coming to Norfolk since we played them on the road last year; JMU, App, Georgia Southern. We should be going to Georgia State and Marshall since we hosted them last year.

Finally things are going to take physical form. Exciting times indeed.

The baseball schedule is finally here. A couple notes. Rutgers series is back, 3 games against UVA (guessing they demanded a 2 for 1), Richmond replaces VMI on the schedule, ECU and VCU series remain, and we get some better NE team to come down during the cold in Princeton, GW and Northeastern.

Potentially an improvement.
It will be challenging from a date perspective early on. Back to back weeks with 2 mid-week games with weekend series against CLT, Northeastern, and Georgia Southern around them. Gonna need pitching depth.

Going to play 2 games at UVA and they're still going to end up cancelling on us in Norfolk...

Playing in C'ville in February ought to be fun...

Yep. He interacts with ODU guys on twitter a fair amount it seems. He's good for the sport.

He did an interview after UVA beat South Carolina to set up the finals against us in the 2021 Regional. It was pretty funny as he was talking about Dippin Dots. That got him a tie-in with D1Baseball the next season where they began posting his Schoch Factor podcasts. He also made occasional appearances on the D1Baseball podcasts and got in on the weekly picks. Last season, he did a couple of broadcasts for ACC Network. First one was UVA @ VT and he did at least one other at UVA.

He seems to get along with the ODU players. When the team was on that 24-hour hell ride on the crappy bus coming from Miami after the flight got cancelled, he was posting updates on twitter and several of our guys were keeping him up to date. He was pumping up Ticer and Fitz-Gerald when they were hitting all those home runs early last season. And when Ransom announced that he was transferring out, he posted a great highlight clip of him (ODU and Peninsula Pilots) to the music of Free Bird. He also posted a picture of himself wearing an ODU hat and baseball jersey that someone sent him.

He is great for the game of college baseball. Good sense of humor. His enthusiasm shines through with everything he does. Kind of like Dick Vitale with college basketball in the early 80's but without the exposure that Vitale was given.

While not yet adopted by the NCAA, a new ratings tool will be launched this season.
