Near end of UMASS-ARMY FB game (won by UMASS) CBSSN TV commentator Breneman stated that UMASS AD Ryan Bamford is trying his best for a whole sports conference move.

This could encourage Delaware to join--maybe?

Or--he could be "posturing" to get a MAC Invite.

Some posters here have said in the PAST that CUSA did offer UMASS an all-sports invite.

UMASS sneezes more money than they can make in CUSA.

For the life of me, I just don’t know why anybody would want to go to the MAC. No fans. Dreary cold weather. Up north. Feels rusty. It kinda boggles my mind. There is nothing interesting about the MAC.

I knew him personally, was not a finer man you could know, as well as a great football Coach and ambassador for football in the state. Just sorry we could not have made the move to FBS that he wanted before he passed.

IMO--I just don't understand why we would consider UMASS at all.

Y’all gotta admit, though not a homerun, a UMass & UDel add for CUSA would be a solid double. And if it’s paired with an EKU & Missouri St. add at the same time, it could be legged into a triple. I’d take that for CUSA. We’d be full up, have lots of product for TV, and both increase the CUSA footprint and the core cluster of the conference.

Invite UMass-UDel-EKU-MoSt right now! Strike while the iron is hot, to lukewarm.

Interesting concept. If we added those four, I wonder what football divisions would look like.

Without splitting up rivalry/travel partners, it'd be a challenge. You have 5 west of
the Mississippi so what other two would go with them?: FIU and ?, or maybe JaxSt/KSU? You couldn't put MTSU/WKU/EKU in different divisions. I can't think of a clean 7 and 7 split.

We're just playing here. I don't really think those four together are a possibility any time soon, if ever.

If you are going to expand, you have to get more TV money. I can't see it.

UMass and Delaware all sports would almost definitely bring more media money. How much would be a question but it'd be at least a minimal bump.

UMASS should be a no for CUSA. They have MAC written all over them. I like the single UMASS fan here but I don’t think it’s the right move for CUSA. Take Delaware and Missouri St and call it a day.
