Coastal good job. I hope McCall is back next week but it looks like you will be ok at QB. Marshal hope y'all figure out your offense....right after our game with you.

So Huff says Pennington "Didn't execute". The kid gets his first quality reps in a blowout where the team had essentially given up and, HE didn't execute?!? I remember Chad's first two games weren't works of art but he got better as he got starter reps in practice and he adjusted to the speed of the college game. For Marshall's sake keep Fancher on the bench and start building for the future, I have seen the future and Fancher ain't it.

For the 100th time...

Cole is not Chad.

It's either your a NASCAR fan or a clueless geriatric who longs for the "Good Ole' Days".

WHO THE #@%K SAID HE IS CHAD?!?
I'm just saying Fancher isn't an FBS caliber QB so give another kid a chance who's last name happens to be Pennington. I can't count how many times Marshall fans said give Fancher chance it took, Cato, Leftwich, CHAD Pennington almost a season to find their rhythm. The coaching Genius HUFF says COLE Pennington didn't execute after getting a handful of late game series.

There are currently 6 QBs on Marshall's roster of which 4 are freshman because Huff ran the others off. Of the 4 freshman one's name happens to be Pennington. The other two are Fancher and a 5th year senior transfer from Rice with 4 games of eligibility left. Who would YOU put in as QB since it's clear Fancher will never be a great FBS level QB or would you just keep playing Fancher because he just needs time to improve.

As I've said earlier, don't look at the box score look at the game, there were a few plays that he showed his inexperience as a freshman. But there are other very elite level pinpoint accurate throws which shows me that he can improve.

In one quarter I've seen more accurate throws by Cole than I've ever seen 2 years of Fancher.

The second int was a absolute dime, and showed me he can make the throws if given protection and the right playmakers..

Huff says Pennington didn’t execute and but does he accept being a huge part of the problem for not developing depth. You can’t say next man up and not have a next man prepared. How much game time did Cole have before yesterday? How many reps does he get with the starters in practice? How much encouragement did he get that he would be worked in?

Cam was 11/22 with 2 Ints and Cole was 12/23 with 2 Ints. Neither had a TD and Cole had 50 less yards. The stats look fairly even.
