RE: SBC Strength of Schedule
You know, normally when you schedule ECU, VT, and NCState all in one season, you've got a pretty good schedule going. Not top 10, but top 50 OOC. They should have insurance against teams not being ranked where they were expected when they were scheduled. Doesn't really matter to us as much, but a playoff contender could lose their spot over a team like VT sucking so hard, through no fault of the playoff contender, who scheduled them on good faith to be an asset to the schedule and not a detriment.

RE: SBC Strength of Schedule
It's hard for me to imagine why Ark State's SoS is so high unless Oklahoma is just skewing the calculation.

If Tulane plays like they did against UAB and North Texas against any Sun Belt East team they lose. Same with Liberty against MTSU. Those teams can skim on prep or not bring their A-game out every week and get wins. It strains credibility that any AAC, MAC or CUSA team could have a better SoS than any Sun Belt East team.

SOR, strength of record, is a better measure.

SOS weighs too heavily the….. we played the #6 team…but it doesn’t account enough for the fact when you lose it 70-0.

SOR reflects the results more accurately.

On this same topic how on earth is Air Force getting so many more votes than JMU while almost being dead last in SOS

Use the SOR. Better measure.

SOR:

JMU 11
Air Force 18
Tulane 24

Close between all 3
