When it was announced we were going to the SBC together I had hoped this would develop into a rivalry. It just makes sense.

It's good to see and it's healthy, I think most of the banter has been in fun and in jest (at least I hope). A few have taken it kind of weirdly serious, but you're always going to get that.

I definitely agree, this has the building blocks of a very special nice little rivalry.

Love having a real rival. In cusa we had wku and it wasn't like a real dislike. That was about it.

I said it in the other thread and I’ll say it here. I think Marshall becomes our biggest rival in the Sun Belt. In football at least. Two good teams with big fanbases

You must not have been around during the SoCon days

1-1 and both games the loser felt they had extenuating circumstances that led to their demise. That's a strong foundation for a rivalry.
