Agree. We need to prove competitive in the SBC. We were down for too long, it drove crowds away. They seem to be slowly returning with the heartbeat our team is showing. Student section has been well-stocked all season, that has been great to see.

I went at the last minute and other than the final score, it was a nice time. Fans are respectful and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely go again.

Congrats to the Monarchs! You made the plays to win. We did not.

I really think the Covid year we took off, had a bigger impact on the lost in attendance than we thought. Agree students are doing well getting out.

I like the higher road you took here.. much appreciated fellow but it’s the little things on Defense that has kept App in games and our Offense is just not there. I’ve seen more dropped balls this year than ever before. I wish Clark would succeed more than anyone but we have steadily regressed for four years. Doug needs some heat too. But no one will say it.

I really hope the Appalachian fans that came to the game walked through the tailgate lots pregame. As was our "Oyster Bowl" weekend, the tailgating was full of good folks slurping down Virginia's finest with their favorite beverage.
If ever a post-season bowl game comes to Norfolk (and the stadium is a perfect size for it), I would hope the "Oyster Bowl" would continue there. It is unique and a tradition that dates back many years.

Agreed. I don't think people realize how much that set us back... fans, recruiting, etc.

I don't know if that would work with the way bowls are owned and regulated by the NCAA as far as ticket sales and what not if we still want a portion benefiting the Shriner's charity cause. You'd have to get the bowl involved with the Shriner's. But I like the idea.

Agree, Happy to see it back as a collegiate game.
