USM has more to worry about than South Alabama. That game is history. Those Golden Eagles have 5 games left on their schedule and only one seems to be a possible win.

Ya there were a few USA fans furious with righteous anger about the USM billboard on various social media. They all disappeared when the USA one was put in Hattiesburg.

It's not something I care about either way. Just schools advertising. There's enough things in this world to be mad about already.

He didn’t care about USM having a billboard. He took exception (petty or not) with the fact the billboards took shots at USA/Mobile.

You guys should use it as motivation next year. Apparently it worked for us.

It didn't go over my head. Notice I didn't say anything about the coach. I'll repeat what I said. I find it amusing that some USA fans were so full of righteous anger about the billboard. They thought it was low class, sleazy, whatever you want to call it. They all disappeared into the wind when it was found out that USA did it too.

I can buy that re: the “Hub City” one, which I said earlier was kinda obnoxious and seemed more like the work of an alumni group than the university, but the gripe was about billboards, plural, with the other, more innocuous one also being included.

I suppose “your local university” could be taken as a shot, but USA is one of 3 universities in the city and wasn’t singled out, so any offense taken there was your own. Yes, we want students from the Mobile area and say so out loud, just like every other institution in the region does with every other metro area in the region. Big whoop. Had I not been eating next to the window at the Subway next door, I wouldn’t have even known that USA billboard was there because nobody’s cared enough to say anything about it.

Clearly, the faux outrage worked, though. I gotta give Wommack that.
