I'm surprised that no one from either side created a thread yet. With Marshall's win over VT and ODU barely getting by a transitional D2 to FCS team, i can see why. Probably a forgone conclusion of the outcome but that's why you play the game!

Is it true that your last game was played during a monsoon? I took that in to consideration.

I think it will be closer than Herd fans want to think. Our offense is still wildly inconsistent.

I wasn't there but it didn't look to bad on TV, I think the worst of it had moved on before kickoff. We're a tough team to figure out but if you can get pressure on our QB (which all signs point to being very likely) then it'll be a long game for the Monarchs. We'll probably load the box to try to stop Ali, our run defense has not been bad this year. Last year the final score was 12-0 Marshall. I would take the over on total points compared to last year but don't know if I'd go above 20. Who knows.

Every weekend is different. Depending on which ODU team shows up, Marshall could have their hands full.

Wasn't raining very much but there were some high wind gusts that happened throughout the game. Very inconsistent tho.

I have no idea what to make of this game. W v Louisiana to close L to Wake Forest to barely beating Commerce. I think ODU makes it a game but other than that I can't make heads or tails of it

Everyone in the SBC East is capable of beating everyone.

-3.5 for the Herd....I gotta think a cover is damn near a sure thing here

VT started loading the box. The problem there is that you'll stop him 8 out of 9 times but once he breaks one, there's no one left back to catch him so he rally all the way to the endzone.

I guess I'll be the contrarian. I don't see this one as being close. Marshall's good enough to build or extend a lead. I don't think this ODU team is going to tighten it against this Marshall defense. I think ODU's O really struggles in this matchup.

My hesitancy to consider this a lock is because last season Marshall didn't score a single touchdown and won the game in a shutout with four field goals.

Every season is different, but none of Huff's squads have truly put them away for good. Call it paranoia, but last season Marshall lost to Bowling Green right after nabbing a historic win against Notre Dame. While VT certainly isn't on that level, it was a big win. (83 years is a long time).

Speaking from experience in recent years, it would be a very Marshall thing to lose this game right after winning against a P5 program, especially with another big game coming up next weekend.
