The NCAA didnt bend rules for ODU. They need to stay consistent. Also, Jason Miyares is a JMU alum. There is definite bias here.

We didn't get a bowl during the transition, but we could have if there weren't enough bowl eligible teams. JMU has the same opportunity. That seems fair to me. But I'm indifferent either way. I'm normally a stickler for rules, but I wouldn't have heartburn if they were granted a waiver.

We've had plenty of rules help JMU and hurt ODU. Just be consistent.

I'm told JMU has 5 years to comply with the Cox Bill (Student Fees). This will be a big hit to their budget. Possibly as much as $10 million per year. They can do some things to limit the impact but it's gonna hurt. Winning now and building interest/donations is a big factor. It will be interesting to watch.
