Outside of linemen who need to beef up, why redshirt skill positions? Such a big chance they may leave. Get some return on your investment.

I like Wilson but if the Freshman is ready. Put him in.

The oline is so bad that I have no doubt that is a big part of why he won't likely play until the last 4 games.

Why put a true freshman out there without an Online that can keep him safe?

Everybody says how good he is. Shields made a difference. Why not him? But you know everything right?

That applies to any QB we put out there.

I doubt the reason hes not playing is due to redshirting. Joseph is good but its very rare that a true freshman is truly ready.

Having said that, if he gets the ball out quicker and recognizes blitzes, that could be an upgrade over Shields/Wilson.

He probably is the best pure passer on the team. Four games will not hurt his four future years, but it will give RR an idea about next year.

I was so surprised that RR changed horses mid game, so glad he did. I'm guessing the OC put that bug in his head or called for a change. Truth RR seemed to let the coordinators run the show the last game. With the weather holding back fans, we moved down to high dollars seats. So maybe I just noticed it more. If season isn't playing out like we hoped, play the freshman like bluelight suggested and see what he's got. The truth, back to the original post. In today's game you might have a player for an avg of two years. I'm really worried about where college football/sports is going. It's like the NFL without salary caps.

It will be interesting to see if Wilson starts against Marshall. The gusty wind clearly gave Wilson issues.

Maybe, but it wasn't just the wind. He made bad decisions.

I think Texas A & M Commerce also was a problematic match up. They were a smaller, faster defense, with well-coached defensive backs. Several times during the game, they ran an ODU receiver down from behind. Their backend speed neutralized ODU's WRs. Pair that with an atrocious O-Line performance and you get a nightmare day for the offense.

eh, they were better than I expected on defense, but it was simply a case of us shooting ourselves in the foot with bad penalties and turnovers.

The first 2 drives were awful, no question about it.

3rd possession- INT (should have been pass interference)

4- Drove the opponents 20 but threw a dumb interception

5- Driving but have a dumb chop block that turns a likely red zone chance into 3rd and 27

6- Drove to the opponents 3 and no points

7- Drove to the opponents 27 and no points

8- Punt

9- TD

10- Drove to the opponents 8 and fumbled

11- Drove to the opponents 5 and kicked a FG

We have to start finishing our drives. We are having trouble scoring when it doesn't happen through a big play. But, we consistently moved the ball.
