Progress? Yep. Saw a lot of good tonight and that tells me a lot about HCTD. I don't think we'll regress.

"We should be thankful for what we have, stop complaining" is the motto of this place and it's disgusting. It's why UAB is stuck as a peer to Memphis, Tulsa, UTSA, and FAU instead of Cincinnati, Louisville, Georgia Tech, and Stanford. If we had an ounce of ambition and pride in the university it'd be a member of the AAU and wouldn't have tagged along with a bunch of Conference USA refugees and would have its own stadium on campus where water didn't cost more than it does at Disney World.

Instead, it's "Alabama-Birmingham at Georgia" on ESPN2 to fill a Finis St John aviation budget-sized hole in the athletics department financial statement, and no one ever talks about ambitious goals and barely keeping up with both real inflation and the inflation of the overall academic and research industry in terms of quality

Nah that’s not my motto at all. But I will say it’s unreasonable to be trashing a hire and staff after 3 games. This guy always has all the answers, but somehow is never a viable option for any coaching position that opens up.

Nice takeaway!

As if we had not seen that one before, and the refs never called it.

I was ASTOUNDED we got that call from them!

Announcers said that was going to be a point of emphasis for them this year and that SEC coaches and other teams have specifically called out UGA as abusing that tactic and reminded the refs before every game.

Great post. Amen to all of this.

Now saying that, I don’t believe in more victories.

I think I have to disagree on that one.

Early in the game I saw Zeno go get a ref and complain about something that frustrated him and I’m pretty sure it was about this. I was impressed they gave him the time of day and actually looked like they cared about what he had to say.

Liked the 4-3 base look we ran on defense at times.
Liked even how we switched the 4-3 to a 5-2 at times 3-4
Liked the late RT change.
Like the play of the youth.
B.J. Mayes should stay on the field

I think we are in for special things next season if we hold on to the young guys and plug in the portal. Tulane season coming in my opinion. Work out the bumps this season and go hard next

Impressed with #44, Miquon Merriweather, on the D-line; true freshman 6-1, 300lbs and looked to be a disrupter inside late in the game.

I don't believe in reporters that can't tell more victories from a moral victory.

I believe we are 17-point dogs at Tulane next Saturday.

Yes. That is a big line but can be used as extra motivation. Tulane is probably the 2nd best team we've faced.........only beat a mediocre USM team 21-3 though.

I am so proud and happy with our performance. Vast improvement. So glad that the defense is starting to realize you have to apply pressure which helped the D a ton. Playing the youngins also is working. The team that played Sat v the team that played Ga Southern are not the same

Looks like it's 21.5 this morning, which seems fair to me.

Yep. It's fair. We need to prove we are not a 21 point dog. Show me Blazers!
