Police calls to Campus Pointe Mall plummet since Y-Bar's closing
What a shocker. Y-Bar was an awful, dangerous and testosterone fueled place at the end of my time at WMU in the mid 2000s and it only got much, much worse over the years. Good to hear the proprietors are talking about installing a much calmer entertainment venue in an arcade.

Though the young reporter didn't bother asking any probing questions, such as why apparently the business wasn't sold and whether the shltbags responsible for Y-Bar remained in charge. Which sounds like the case.

Wasn't Y-bar going into Wayside what effectively killed wayside because they had a murder and a bunch of other nonsense happen?

Pretty sure they'll be serving drinks. Again, would have been nice for the reporter to mention.

I thought Y-Bar started as the "dance club" in Wayside before becoming its own venue. Wayside was always a rowdy place so Wayside's violence issues really weren't a surprise to me.
