I dont think users/profiles count. Even though DaBlazahs id dope. We need either a discord chat, active reddit page, or just a better forum platform than CSN.

Blazer Victory podcast is one
There's a Birmingham subreddit, but not a UAB one
Dragon's Den (if they are still around)

Is there a good way to get the word out to the younger folks about the Thursday night meet & greets at MugShots with the players? We had several diehards there last week, but I’m 40 and (I believe) the youngest of the group (other than the folks working with NIL).

Well, it seems I only see ONE person post about it that works for UAB on ONE of the Facebook groups. And majority of college students do not use Facebook.

Since this was the last non-con game we could have won - (even if we were undefeated we all know we wouldn't get close to beating UGA), I hate when people say give things time when we have a new coach, young layers, "new conference". We lost 2 non-con games so new conference doesn't mean anything yet.

NCA&T, Georgia Southern, and Louisiana are not AAC. If we were somehow still in CUSA, they would have still been on our schedule. That is what is making people upset. If we lost to the top AAC teams it would be different, but people need to slow their roll on claiming jumping in a new conference is why we aren't doing as well when we haven't gotten into conference play.

We aren’t doing as well bc we’ve flat out SUCKED ass. Worse than I thought.

That being said, I’ve turned a corner in my mind on this season. I’ll just see how it plays out and reserve judgement for the end of the season. I am just hoping to tangible, real improvement from here on out. I have ZERO expectations for this team for any win total now.

It’s sad we are in this situation after a really nice 6-7 year run, bringing the program back, getting the football foundation set up, new stadium, new conference, etc… but here we are. It sucks, but lord knows we’ve been here before.

I’m still rooting for dilfer and hope he can turn it around but the early returns are not encouraging. All the shtick rings hollow when you hire your buddy from the high school ranks who’s clearly been way in over his head. I think dilfer will have to make a tough choice about Sione; and that will tell me a lot about the coach and person he purports to be. Will you be man enough to move on from your buddy when you need to, or will you be weak and let him stay past his due? Hypothetical situation I know, but it seems like that’s where this ship is heading.

We’ll see how it all plays out. Go blazers. I’m rooting for simply not being an embarrassment by the end of the year.

Bracy over Howell and starting the young ins are the right thing. Let the new guys learn and get experience if the vets aren't cutting it

I don't disagree....but you may have noticed how mediocre the AAC is also. I would think that Georgia Southern and Louisiana would probably be in the middle of the pack in our league, and I suspect both of them will be bowling at the end of the year. And, of course we were predicted to be near the bottom of our league.

There is a UAB subreddit. It just has very little activity.

I guess a big part of it is getting a central account to put the message out in a timely manner & also getting that account to connect to the people it needs to get to. I think that’s the main thing we lack right now.

NEVER say never. I remember a time when we went to my old stomping grounds in Athens with a substitute Q-back because our starter got hurt and we had the Dawgs on the ropes for a fair part of the game. Had to run a very basic offense, with no bells and whistles, but were very competitive (only a dumb bunch of penalties when we got inside the 10 yd line kept us from getting back ahead of em, as I recall).

Three in a row to knock us out of FG range. We won’t discuss how legit they were.
