Is anyone else paying far more attention to the West this season?
Not just all 12 of the PAC schools, which gave us endless fascination this past offseason and are on an all-time great pace after 2 weeks, but I also find myself far more interested in what happens to Fresno, Boise, SDSU and other MWC schools, too. CSU vs CU has never been on my radar before. Now? It’s must-see TV. Are the Deions gonna hang 70 on the little guys? Can Norvell back up his trash talk? Fresno vs UArizona looks mighty interesting, too. I haven’t cared this much about football West of Lubbock for a long, long time.

I live in the West, I always pay attention, especially the California schools.

Fresno plays ASU and is favored by 3 @ASU. Should be a good game but starts 30 min after Prime so unless CU/CSU is a blowout I expect Coach Prime to suck all their air out of the room.

8 top 25 from the Pac 12, should be a lot of good games come conference play. Hope enough of them are before the graveyard shift though.

Just don't pay much attention to Hawaii at Oregon this weekend.

We're still rebuilding, we've lost our two best defensive players to injuries, and it's gonna be ugly.

Just keep them under 81 and you'll be better than Portland State COGS

I live 5 miles west of I24, 8 miles from the CU campus, I love western FB, but you are missing the best football in the country.

Well, I don’t live out West, and I’m starting to pay attention to the football out there. I bet I’m not the only one. A whole lot of AP voters and CFP committee members are watching, too.

The best football in the country is played on Sundays, and I don’t care about that either.

Pac having their way with everybody again today.

Washington 41-7 over Mich St. Or St 26-9 over SDSU. Oregon ahead of Hawaii 24-0 after the first quarter. Wash St won by 43. Utah did their thing again. We're almost through 25% of the season now...hard to call this an aberration or blip on the radar.

The PAC is stacked, probably the best conference in the country. History says they'll eat each other, so it's going to be tough for one of us to make the playoff. If this was next year with the 12 team playoff, we would probably have 4 teams in. Oh well, I look forward to watching my Huskies in the B1G.

The Pac's season is both redemptive and sad. It all feels like such a waste.

The best outcome would be a Washington State-Oregon State championship game, with the winner going to the CFP. Extremely unlikely, though.

Why? You'll get to see OSU/WSU play against each other like 8 times next season COGS

Both Air Force and Fresno State are dark horses for a G5 to reach the playoffs this year if everybody beats each other up.

Yes, specifically the PAC-12 and I'm hoping the conference gives us sports fans tons of excitment and highlights in it's final year.

Not that unlikely, they're both ranked and both have looked great. You could throw 2 darts to pick 2 of the top 8 today and they'd be worthy CCG participants.
