Will Be Interesting Who The New AD Will Be At JMU
JMU bodes a very successful athletic program and with the announcement this morniing of the retiremnet of Jeff Bourne, JMU makes for a highly sought after AD position.

https://www.dnronline.com/sun_belt_extra...7f423.html

Some names thrown out there, including GT's executive deputy athletic director Jon Palumbo, Furman's athletic director Jason Donnelly, and so on.

Should be interesting to watch because this could either continue to catapult the Dukes or put a stop on their success.

What a great time to retire for Mr. Bourne.

Good article and excellent research by Shane Mettlen on potential replacements for Jeff Bourne.

As was noted in the article, the JMU AD job is a very good one and there will indeed be no shortage of great candidates to choose from for Bourne's replacement.

Regardless of who the next AD is, James Madison has hit their ceiling in the Sunbelt, just like Appalachian State. Things will have to get really crazy at the top in order for them to move up.

Until App State makes the Access Bowl this year or 12 team playoff after the ceiling hasn't been met.

The Sun Belt plays some great football, I expect you guys will start making major bowls fairly often going forward.

JMU seems like a rather appealing AD job. Should be some quality candidates.

Completely disagree with this....JMU has a lot prove still, playoffs, etc.

This is football not basketball. I fully expect CFP to get scary for the G5s

Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas do not want Appalachian State or James Madison anywhere near them in the playoffs. That's what the expansion was about. It's about stacking the playoffs with Power conference teams only.

03-lmfao

Right. Theyre guaranteeing a spot to a non-power team.
