If you like seafood it’s hard to beat Mobile seafood. Go to the Causeway and visit Felix’s or one of the other restaurants there. I’ll have to see if I can dig up a post that contains a lot of helpful tips/recommendations tomorrow.

Seeing as Mobile belongs to The Trojans, I'll offer some advice. If you have more than one day, there are some sights to see in Troy's Mobile. First, I would say The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Or, if you don't mind a drive, head down to Bellengrath Gardens in Foley, AL. You are a bit early for the Christmas lights, but the gardens are great. If you do go to Foley, be sure to eat at Lambert's. Home of the "Throwed Rolls". It's cash only.
If you stay in Mobile, Tripadvisor has several great ideas for eating. It's a decent sized town, so there are many great choices.

I was not aware Mobile had a Felix's.

I didn't know they had a Lamberts. There is one in southeast Missouri about 50 miles from me. If you want in go early and yeah they throw rolls. I always thought that was just a local business.

Let me clarify. This isn’t the same as the Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar that is in New Orleans. This is Felix’s Fish Camp.

Paragould..20 miles north of Jonesboro. Lamberts is in Sikeston. 50 miles is a rough estimate.

If you're near downtown Mobile and like dive bars, go by The Garage. There's a Marshall banner that's been hanging from the ceiling since the 2002 GMAC Bowl.
