SIU
Top 15 match up in Cape on Saturday. SIU beat Austin Peay to open the year and beat FBS Northern Illinois in a defensive battle this past Saturday.

We will at the very least be without Flournoy. Bryce Norman is questionable, not sure about McDonald's status. I have no clue if SIU is dealing with any injuries but they have a pretty good defense so being without one of the best WR's in FCS is going to make this a lot tougher

We will be driving down from St. Louis for the game, excited to see the stadium and hopefully another brickyard win.

Tuke said at the coaches show we may be without as many as 7 starters for SIU. He didn't name them.

RE: SIU
Flournoy should miss about 3 games.
McDonald concussion protocol will be out this game it sounded like but then be back.
Norman not getting surgery til after season but still very painful so didn't sound good for Saturday.
Punter has a broken leg so that is why freshman punted against Lindenwood.
Not sure who others are but I am wondering if he was counting McDonald being out as two starters since he is the return guy and a starting wide receiver.
On the depth chart it had Applewhite at right tackle ahead of Laux but I don't think they have been real happy with Laux play so far.
Depth chart does show Norman starting but Tuke did not sound real positive about that today.
Depth chart also doesn't show Lunden Manuel so maybe that is another injury but I would have thought he would have mentioned him being hurt.

The way he talked sounded like he was counting on McDonald being out.

With all the injuries it feels like we are underdogs. Homefield won't be that big of an advantage because SIU typically travels well

With all the injuries we should be the underdogs. The real line will be out Saturday morning.

RE: SIU
There still should be a pretty good home field advantage even with SIU travelling well. I believe the current configuation of the stadium holds 8,000 and it is very close to being sold out. I would think with the walkup it will be sold out. If 500 people come from SIU, we will have 7500 in the other seats. From what I understand the student section energy was great at the last game so you have the student section and band to drown them out on the visitors side and then the endzone and the south grandstand should be pretty high energy in this game as well. At least I hope so. Now if we come out flat and SIU goes up a couple of scores early then they may be able to take away the home field advantage for all intensive purposes. I will say from afar, I am watching on ESPN+ from Florida, the energy level looked very good at the Lindenwood game.

RE: SIU
For you guys close enough to go, if you are considering it you should get your tickets now. If the SEMO ticket website is correct there are less than 150 tickets left. Looks like it very well could sell out before selling any walkup tickets.

Two completely different halves. We really let that one get away.

RE: SIU
Can we please stop rushing only 3 guys? Or rushing 3 and bringing a late linebacker, it never works.
