Man, not sure how the coaching staff could've been so wrong but I watched the part of the game that Barnett played and it was ugly. He has a nice throwing motion, nice athleticism, and throws a nice ball but it was rarely to the right spot. Was sort of hoping to see a guy local to where I'd lived for 8 years do well but it just wasn't meant to be.

Not sure he will be ready at all this year if the Bucknell game is any indication of his readiness level.

Yeah I was definitely really excited for Barnett and obviously super disappointed with his performance. McCloud looked much better and I think we'll be just fine with him, we'll really get to find out these next eight days for sure. Hopefully just the moment getting to him and something he can be better prepared for when his time comes again.

There may be more JMU fans from this board making the trip than for a normal home game. Not only is it a huge because of regional bragging rights, P5 vs G5, etc., but UVA is probably actually closer for a good number of us.

JMU has a great shot at start our day right - JMU 27 UVA 20.

UVA energy looks good with this being the first home game after the shooting on campus last year that killed three football players and ended their season a little early. JMU better be ready.
