I made it out to the VCU match last weekend and it's a good time. Small arena, loud crowd, and you're really close to the action. I do wish it wasn't $5.50 for a bottle of soda though.
Anyway, the team is 3-0, beating VCU, NSU and W&M and have some tough games coming up before they're home again in 3 weeks. Carve some time out of your day and check out a match.
Also, interesting to maybe no one but me, the daughter of former MLB pitcher Tim Belcher is a member of a squad.
Nebraska turned out 90,000 fans for a Volleyball game. We need to support the team and try to get 900 fans to attend a game. Love beating Feces U and we should beat W&M. Now lets beat JMU.

Can someone educate me? How did this Nebraska volleyball thing turn into such an event? Was this groundswell?

Essentially yes...Of course Nebraska is always top 5 in Women's volleyball. They came up with an idea that leveraged their strong fan base and support to basically set the bar extremely high for the largest crowd to watch a women's volleyball game at any level. They created a court in Cornhusker football stadium and promoted the heck out of the event. They had tons of other events surrounding the main event. It was really cool to watch.
