RE: Record attendance for each SBC school
That number for Georgia State was in the Georgia Dome which not only do they not play in any longer but has been demolished. Highest attendance at Center Parc Stadium seems to be the opening game there vs Tennessee State at 24,333.

Could you add the years of those games too?
Interesting too, for why those games were so big.
Marshall, App St, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas St, ULM, ODU - looks like it was from big name opponents (All Power-5 except Houston) that were in-state, or the adjoining state.
Louisiana's was an in-state FCS team that brought a big crowd.
Georgia St's was the first football game of their inaugural season. They were FCS and played an in-state DII team.
stAte, Georgia Southern, and Coastal were Sun Belt games. JMU's was their homecoming game of their first year in FBS/SunBelt. I don't know the situation of the other two, but stAte's game against MTSU was the last game of the season, and was the defacto Sun Belt Championship game, as we were the top two teams in the conference, and the winner would be crowned champion. It was 2012, Gus Malzahn was our head coach, and we won 45-0. One of the most flawless and impressive performances we've ever put on.

The premise of closer schools matter more applies here for TXST. Houston had better attendance than Texas Tech despite having a much smaller and way more localized than regional fan base/brand than TTU. Lubbock is roughly 5 hrs further than Houston. Houston also out sold national brand Navy that has a large central Texas military following.

Houston winning 13 games the year prior and returning Greg Ward Jr probably didn’t hurt their attendance either.

Bobcat stadium will probably have 28K+ to even host UNT

RE: Record attendance for each SBC school
I would strongly suspect that TXST will shatter FCS game attendance record history when it plays host to SWAC JSU just by starting a measly 1-1. I’m going out on a limb and saying 27K attendance for Jackson St if TXST were to start 2-0

Are they bringing in the temp seat in the NEZ for ECU? If so we might get close to 40k again.

Memphis and UCA occur multiple times in the top 10 games (attendance) for us.

No telling what the games with wvu would have drawn if the capacity was larger or MU had one of those empty end zones to pack the bodies. I wouldn't have been surprised if between 50,000-60,000 tickets could have sold due to ticket demand if the stadium had that much seating.

Of MU's largest crowds, Kansas State and Purdue didn't bring a lot fans. Louisville only filled a section or two. MU should have sold out the game with VA Tech (VA Tech campus is a little over 3 hours drive) when they came to MU with Beamer as their coach, but MU had a terrible team for that season.

What is App's official capacity? I've seen you've sold out Marshall and USM this upcoming season.

RE: Record attendance for each SBC school
I feel like ODU could probably hit at least 30-35K for some games, maybe more if their stadium could hold that. Ballard Stadium looks larger than it's actual capacity. App State could probably get 45-50K against in-state opponents.

Same could probably be said for JMU as well. If their east stands are ever demolished to look like the west stands, that stadium would be very intimidating with a full crowd.
