UTEP @ Jax St - UTEP wins both
Liberty @ MTSU - MTSU wins both as mentioned by sstaedtler88
FIU @ Sam Houston St - FIU wins both
NMSU @ La Tech - NMSU wins both.

It is really strange, but there has not been a split weekend yet.

This upcoming week will see NMSU @ UTEP and WKU @ Liberty in the two big series. With MTSU @ FIU being another really good one. La Tech @ Sam Houston will allow someone to get into the win column, possible both schools.
Hannah Baker set the school digs record this weekend, but beyond that it was a depressing watch for SHSU. CUSA is strong volleyball. We need to adjust.

Sam hung around in each set but allowed FIU to make late runs that they just couldn’t survive. The Panthers are legit, very good team. But to have gone 0-6, playing like they did, has to be disheartening for the LadyKats. Need BOTH v. LaTech.

Watch out for FIU. Syra Tanchin and Morgan McKenzie were both super impressive. They had a tough OOC schedule. They’re going to hang with WKU, Liberty, other competitors.

Hang with WKU and Liberty? WKU is legit but Liberty is 7-7 and 0-2. I think it's safe to say that a lot of schools will "hang" with Liberty.

Yes, Liberty, the school that has CUSA’s lone ranked win and started the season 7-0 before taking on the toughest OOC schedule in conference! I still think they’re a contender despite slide. Sorry if it bothered you that I name-dropped them and not NMSU.

Big week coming up for both sides.

WKU's 72 game CUSA regular season winning streak nearly came to an end, but they survive in 5 games, defeating Liberty in the 5th game 15-13.

RE: 2023 CUSA VOLLEYBALL
NMSU and UTEP ended 1-1. Both matches averaged about 1500 in attendance.
FIU and MSTU ended 1-1
SHSU and La Tech ended 1-1
Liberty was swept by WKU.

This weekends matchups - predictions
WKU hosting Jax St - WKU should win these.
Liberty hosting NMSU that is four pretty tough games for NMSU and Liberty in a week. With the travel for NMSU, a split would be great, but I fear a Liberty sweep.
MTSU hosts SHSU - I think a split
UTWP hosts FIU - UTEP sweep

SHSU’s first CUSA win was a SWEEP over LaTech.

Hope we can keep it rolling against Middle Tennessee!

WKU - Jax St 3-0 This was not close as the most Jax St got was 15 points.

RE: 2023 CUSA VOLLEYBALL
Liberty - NMSU 1-3 - Split series. Aggies went 2-2 on the week with a split vs UTEP and @ Liberty. Not too bad.
WKU- Jax St 3-0 - WKU sweeps the series
UTEP - FIU 3-0 - UTEP sweeps the series
MTSU - SHSU 3-0 - MTSU sweeps the series

Huge series is NMSU vs WKU this upcoming weekend. LA Tech vs MTSU, SHSU vs UTEP and Jax St vs Liberty round out the weekend.

RE: 2023 CUSA VOLLEYBALL
Liberty has played WKU on the road and NMSU and MTSU at home so far. That is a pretty brutal conference schedule. What would have been worse if it was reversed @ NMSU and @ WKU then home to MTSU. I still think they will end up just fine.

I hope NMSU breaks 2k for each of the matches.

Liberty, the school with best OOC schedule and win over a ranked team? 8-10 (1-5) Liberty?
