It doesn't matter...they beat us in two really good FCS games 10 years ago....does ANYTHING really matter after that? Still seeking purpose here..

Volleyball is the second team out in todays AVCA poll, quite a few votes behind a struggling Minnesota team that just dropped out, but if we keep winning and we get a few losses from Minnesota and the 20-25 range teams we might finally break into the top 25, which I’m pretty certain has never happened for volleyball. Would be fun to see both football and volleyball get ranked next week if both teams keep it rolling.

Man, how I wish a few of the ties this season had turned into W's: UVA, USC-east, WVU, Kentucky. Winning just 2 of those 4 would be phenomenal.

Would be amazing to someday (in next decade or so), make a deep run in Soccer and maybe claim a title there as well.

Belonging to a soccer power conference makes that a distinct possibility. Marshall has set the standard, and may also repeat in that timeframe.

Agree. But JMU did make a recent “deep run”…

Did you forget that men’s soccer made the NCAA Quarterfinals in the first year of JMU’s new HC?

That Quarterfinal appearance was in 2018, the first of 4 straight NCAAT appearances by JMU, a run only broken when JMU was banned from post-season play by the CAA (because JMU was moving to the SBC). The next year (JMU’s first in the SBC) ended when JMU made an impressive run in the SBC tournament, only to lose in the final.

The SBC is an exciting, and very tough, conference for soccer, and yet I’m confident JMU will make more deep runs in the NCAA!

Huge win... Dukes were in a pretty bad slump (3 L's and 4 T's in their last 7). Needed that, looks like only the top 8 make the conference tourney and we had fallen down to 8th

Women dropped both games against CC. Got swept 3-0 Saturday, then 3-2 (with a tight loss in extra time) on Sunday. CC secured their spot as the current #1 team in the SBC. Hopefully the losses to CC will help refocus JMU.

Have Women’s soccer on ESPN+ and volleyball stats on ipad. Good stuff. Go Dukes!

Dukes win in Volleyball! Set 5 was 15-13. Obviously a great match.

And, a women’s soccer dub! 1 nil over Coastal (hate them). Top 6 in tournament means some bye action baby.

Wife and I stopped off at the Convo to watch the Volleyball match vs Georgia Southern tonight. They have done a wonderful job in renovating the old Convo for a first class Volleyball facility. Did not recognize the inside when we walked around. Volleyball, Lacrosse, field hockey, track and field, cross country and both soccer teams now have very nice offices and facilities for the teams. Volleyball took the second match against Georgia Southern 3-1 after yesterdays 3-2 win.

Nick Kidwell was at the match and i said hello to him. Seemed to be moving well on his crutches and said his recovery is going well and is doing rehab. I wished him well and that I hoped he would be back to 100%as soon as possible. Very big young man!! Very nice to talk to also.
