I swear if the MWC gets outmaneuvered by the AAC and Aresco, I will advocate BSU leave the conference at any possible chance.

It could very well happen. The only thing the MWC has over the AAC is geography. They AAC has a higher paying TV contract and easier to manage exit fees. If it weren't for the fact that the PAC4 has no TV contracts of their own (and the exit fees from the MWC and AAC), they could reload quickly with the best of the MWC and western AAC and have a pretty decent conference, but that lack of a TV contract is not a little thing. BSU is a no brainer if you are trying to maximize revenue and competitiveness but the academic snobbery of Stanford and Cal may exclude the Broncos. A merger is complicated as the PAC4 will have some war chest of money from withholding the exiting teams 2024 payouts and NCAA tourney credits (and other conference income) and they will all need that money but definitely do not want to be in a conference with some of the MWC or AAC teams. There are so many dilemmas and very little time for the PAC4 so this is going to be interesting in the next few months.
