MAC preseason rankings are often laughable

It is a snapshot of how our program is percieved in the Summer of 2023.

By organizations who rank MAC football by throwing darts since it's about as accurate and is the same amount of time they spend actually researching the conference.

Last I heard we had 7 seniors on the entire roster? We've got to be among the youngest FBS squads in the country.

100% He extends those coaches he likes and thinks will bring success.

It's the game all AD's play. You can not expect a coach to recruit if he does not have a contract for the future. Why would a player commit to a school full well knowing the coach recruiting him does not have a contract for the following year? But if the coaches contract is out there a year or more, a player will be more comfortable making a commitment.

How about a gray sweatshirt that just says "Western Michigan" or "Western" in brown on the front w/ an Adidas logo? Or how about a brown sweatshirt with the new athletic logo on it w/ an Adidas logo? How about a brown hat with a gold W on it? Just simple designs that don't include 9 shades of yellow or paint speckles?

It shouldn't be this hard to let me spend my money.

Completely agree. Montgomery's administration killed our entire brand -- there is nothing worth buying. It makes me wonder if there is any point in even checking out the new student union. Since Dan is not listening to feedback on the brand, I will give him a C+.

I believe Dan has listened as athletics does not use the circle w and has for the most part removed yellow from their scheme. Athletic Uniforms and logo are often now just brown and white. Athletics has a good look and gear. The problem is you can’t buy any of it in the store (which isn’t a Dan problem). I’ve heard that WMU marketing it not completely happy with the the way that the athletics look has veered from the desired original rebrand. Take a look at the school web page and then the athletics web page. They are vastly different.

I don't blame Dan on the rebrand but he certainly didn't reach out to Bronco Nation.

While I give the athletic department kudos for sticking with brown and white, it's still not the same without vegas gold. Plus they are slowly introducing yellow again.

They need to release some of the gear that the teams get to wear like the nice polos and jackets the teams get to wear.
