If I need nature, I'll just visit the Georgia Aquarium again because they also have the big ass turtles. wait, who am I kidding, we always go straight for the beluga whales at the underwater tunnel thing.

(kidding aside, the turtles and alligators on ULL campus are pretty cool)

I almost got arrested by university police while in school for going frogging in Cypress Lake. Perks of being a student athlete and military member at the time, got me out of it.

Thanks for posting. I'd seen something once about this, but not as in depth.

Really cool!

You’re welcome!

And I’ll add this: when we go to road games we always make sure to get a look of the campus, esp if the ath complex is separate from the main campus, like ours. This is a standing invitation to anyone who makes the trip to Lafayette: let us know and if I can’t give you a tour I know others will.

In fact, it’d be cool if we used this site to set-up volunteers from each school to tour visiting fans.

We could talk about how Southern Miss has the greatest offensive line in the G5 this year...

Oh, there's already a thread about that.

Beauty is subjective. With respect, that doesn’t look very appealing to me. I’m more used to, and prefer, a beautiful subtropical campus at some of the Florida schools.

Has a student ever been attacked by an alligator at UL? At the very least I can imagine the mosquitoes being a nightmare to deal with.

I mean...I can see a drunk freshman tryin' to feed a gator...

I bet he could succeed...don't you?

An Interstate? that's funny and probably a pain in the butt. However I've seen pictures of JMU's campus it looks quite nice.

I think you are thinking about Coastal or Jacksonville St. Maybe South Carolina!

No, JMU literally has an interstate running through Campus. There's a tunnel under it so people can get from one side to the other, but you just know that people have gone the other route and gone for the quick sprint.

Yes there's a tunnel, but also a very nice new bridge. The primary use of the tunnel is for football game walking traffic from our largest parking lot at our old convocation center. The new bridge is the primary way students travel back and forth.

I’ve never heard anyone even remotely suggest this. We may have a culture of drinking more than others, but we’re not dumb people! Granted, I graduated 15 years ago.
