Solution is easy, but requires the NCAA and the universities to come up off the money. In exchange for the scholarship AND a piece of the revenue, the student signs over all NIL rights to the university and within NCAA rules. For the 4-6 years they're in the NCAA system, they can't sign NIL deals with anyone outside the system. After they're no longer eligible, their rights revert and they can go to the NFL, become an actor, whatever with their NIL rights as it works today

That isn’t necessary and would be a guaranteed lawsuit the ncaa would likely lose bigly.

The P5, in football at least, has the NCAA over a barrel. The NCAA took crumbs for decades as FBS exploded out of hand. Now the FBS is grown, there are no more crumbs, and the NCAA has to watch what it says around FBS cause it has no leverage.
