Over on the realignment forum, that excitable poster from Jacksonville (Parts Unknown) State, is very sure that CUSA's contract will pay more than the SBC because there has been no press release from the SBC.

That guy has a lot of inferiority complex issues when it comes to the SBC. Total basket case.

I've really enjoyed reading Shane Mettlens articles since we have been in the SBC. He always does his homework and provides solid information that most of us across the conference cares about.

The viewership increase is probably the main driver in our CCG possibly getting flexed to ABC over the AAC. Don't tell Side Show Joe that though, he says ESPN doesn't care about the SBC because they didn't mention it on a show this one time.

Those CUSA6 posters over on the main realignment board are something else I tell ya.

Every G5 school has subsidies, many of them directly from the state, or rolled into the schools overall budget. Total cost of attendance at JMU is extremely competitive with other Virginia schools. Virginia just structures things differently than some other states do.

So in summary, SBC went from 500k to 2 million (per team). Good stuff!

^ LOL, LT fans are delusional if they think we want to jettison Louisiana, ULM, Ark St, Texas St - and are counting on adding those schools to CUSA to improve their payout. 03-lmfao

This is about as official as it gets at the moment. Nothing verified yet.

Jacksonville is in Florida, I've driven through there before.

Florida ???

I was pretty sure Jackson St was in Mississippi

Go look at a freaking map. It's not FL, MS, TX, AR, or any other state mentioned, it's in NC where the Marines have landed and poisoned through the water system on Camp Lejune. I know for fact that's where that college is located.

isn't that Jacksonville University State the school Deion Sanders coaches at??

I thought Louisiana Tech didn't want to share a conference with ULM and Louisiana? I personally think it would be a huge benefit to ULM to be in a conference with Louisiana Tech considering they are 30 miles apart.

Is this not something we can file an FOIA request over? Seems like a sports journalist would have tried that by now.

individual schools don't have copies of the television deal. Its kept in the conference HQ under lock and key and not subject to FOIA requests.
