Are the preseason award selected by coaches or the media?

Not sure how I feel about JMU being picked to finish first as I kind of like having a chip on our shoulder. Surprised we didn't get a few more guys on the all SBC teams, but I think that goes to how well JMU is coached and how they play well as a team and are not individual stars.

Maybe it will be JMU and Troy again at the top of the standings. But honestly, I hope it's Troy and App, for reasons...

It's hardly a consensus #1 .....very crowded voting in the top 4 - it could be a toss up for any of those (but GO DUKES)

we haven't done anything yet, so I don't expect to be any higher than 5th right now. I really think if our defense improves even a little, that we will be back up where should be. I would rather be low and prove people wrong than to be high and go down at the end of the season.

I would have put Ali ahead of Webb and Gore Jr, personally. The guy's next level.

I’d definitely not like to be ranked #1. We should really be third or fourth. It’s a useless poll nonetheless.

Considering our best, and next NFL O-lineman, isn’t even on the list. Man injuries last year along the offensive line really derailed the season. This year will be back to normal for the Cajuns. Teams better jump out ahead early and take the run game away, because the 4th quarter we will wear y’all down again.
