I think they are a fantastic deal, especially if you donate enough to get blue room passes. Not many places where you can get a couple hours of entertainment with $2 beers for tickets priced around $13 a person.

How much extra are blue room passes and what is included

$500 annual contribution to the ODAF makes you eligible for 4 Blue Room passes.
They offer soft drinks and water, complimentary. Beer is $2 for a domestic and $5 for craft brew. Hot dogs, BBQ, popcorn, etc. are available for purchase. (Can't remember pricing, but not much).

You will also get a basketball parking pass for a $500 donation, which is nice since you can park on the ground level. Though, for a lot of fans, that big of a donation makes more sense if you buy football and basketball tickets.

And I'm not sure what the minimum giving level is to get 2 blue room passes since it doesn't show on the chart now but I believe it was $100 last year.

Bailey, I'd call ODAF and ask before making a decision/donation.

The cheapest Norfolk Admiral ticket is $22.00. An ESPN+ subscription costs $100. Compared to similar entertainment options, regular price MBB tickets are still inexpensive. The fact that ODU offered this ridiculously cheap ticket plan up until this year, makes them look like dumb or asleep IMO.

Buy your tickets online or thru an app. Select SR pricing. They just scan the ticket. No age tests. Majority of ticket revenue goes to Hollywood so you really aren’t hurting the theater that much.

Thank you everyone for the information. Helps with making an informed decision

If I'm not mistaken 2 blue room passes benefit is gone. I've been on the $100 level for a while and blue room passes didn't come come with it last year

The min to get Big Blue Room passes is $500. With that you get 4 passes and BB parking.

Went and got my voucher books and noticed that this year, they're only good for the "fall season" sports of soccer and volleyball. They used to be good for baseball, too.

Would imagine when they ordered those for printing, they were still planning that they wouldn’t be playing on campus this spring due to construction. But then the state budget approval was delayed, making construction next season impossible.

You're probably right 13. But how hard would it have been to notify most fans via social media?
Difference between 1st class and some other class. It's the little things that count.

VB Monarch, you are right with that comment. My wife (a JMU alum) who is partially biased but tries not to be is always harping on how ODU is constantly missing the boat on things like this. An example we recently discussed was the difference between the two school's social media over the SBC Media day.

The fact that some donor ponied up the money for our contingent to travel on a PJ should have been celebrated on social media (I'd imagine recruits would love to see that), and not have to wait on Minium to post it on his account. From what she heard is that JMU let their players take over their social media account for the trip. I don't know if this is true or not, but I do know that I'd like to see more "RAH RAH" posts showing out ODU!

Cant disagree there. Communication and self-promotion are two things I'd love for us to put more energy into.

IDK. I see plenty of self promotion posts. I don’t need any more. Give me more content posts. Video clips from practice. Just 5 seconds showing a great play. But I sympathize with people who complain they don’t disseminate important info in a timely manner.

STAID. Look up the definition and you'll see the ODU management in the picture.
