FedEx CFO
Company announced their new CFO today. An outsider. Have to wonder if this will change the Company's relationship with the U of M.

RE: FedEx CFO
Appointment of a new CFO should have no bearing on the university. The company's support always had to be justified on the grounds of things like workforce development and maintaining quality-of-life for 30,000 employees here. That has not changed.

The longer-term issue is whether the next generation of top execs will be the same kind of personal donors to the university that some of the outgoing ones have been. Could be wrong but I think it's been their money funding the athletic programs more than the company's contributions. We did a good job of getting non-alums to line up behind the program in a big way, but those guys lived here so long that they developed an attachment to the school/teams even if they never attended.

Items such as FedEx Park is likely company funds. So there probably a mixture of personal and company funds involved.
