Any rumors of Skip Holtz getting hired? He has to have done himself some good. I could see Clark with the Stallions.

Other than that, Clark will probably be mentioned when the carousel starts to spin.

That is what it sounds like to me. I don’t know what Fox is paying Holtz but I don’t think it is on level with a pro assistant. I don’t see him really taking another college job unless it is something special.

I think Skip is making decent money but with a LOT less stress. Now that he has gotten a taste of coaching — just coaching — with equal resources, not sure he’d want to go back to deal with the p5 politics, NIL and recruiting nonsense he’d deal with in college. He can coast for several years with the Stallions, have tons of fun with his players and just be a good coach. Are there jobs he would leave for, of course, but not sure he would be offered those.

If Skip does leave, though, I think Bill Clark is the first phone call.

I'm just glad Coach Clark's surgery was so successful. Best wishes to that man. There are very few football coaches who have made as big a difference in a program as he did ours.

I wonder if he’ll be the first phone call when Rich Rod leaves. JSU would be crazy not to hire him back, given that scenario.

I really can't see Bill Clark willingly returning to C-USA.

Football Scoop says Skip has been mentioned for Northwestern, as has Dave Wannstedt.
