RE: SBC and the MLB Draft
Now we've lost a JC infielder we were counting on and a likely weekend starter transfer portal pitcher. Crap.

RE: SBC and the MLB Draft
With the draft now at 20 rounds, the general consensus is, if you're drafted as a junior, you go.

If you are a draft eligible sophomore, you might stay.

If a junior drafted in the seventh round doesn't sign for (number out thin air) 200-250K and decides to go back to school, he'll be offered 1,000 and a bus ticket as a senior.

Unless you can work into the upper echelons (day one draft) as a senior, you gotta sign if you're a junior.

While it is possible a player may return, most of the guys who were drafted, especially in the top ten rounds, are out of here.

Depends on where your drafted...

Yep.. Juniors who are picked by the end of the 10th, usually sign and you can't blame them.

(Now i need a Dustin Royals jersey.... Ooh. me walking around in St. Louis in a KC jersey.. hehehehe.. someone pray for my safety!)

I'm guessing he's thinking Etzel was going to move to the infield ... why? ... can't answer that one with his speed in center ... he makes the left/right fielders better with those legs and glove...

I understood it we had two guys in the portal we were going to sign but didn't or we had two more jump into the portal we weren't expecting.

Stink, the joy of my day is my drive home when i have St. LOuis sports radio on (when i'm not listening to political talk radio) and the hosts want to blame anyone and everyone for the Cards position and they run otu of time for their blame..

While i just sit back and laugh..

So would I wear a Royals jersey? Abso-freakin'-lutely!

Verdung and Landry were transfers we didn't expect to lose to the draft. Verdung might still decide to do one more year of College, since he';; just be a JR and still has leverage.
